Scanned 35 mm slide from my dad's photos during the time he was a wildlife biologist with CA Dept. of Fish & Game. This field trip was to relocate a herd of Big Horn Sheep. I'm pretty sure this was 1979 and was in the Bishop, CA area. Can't remember exactly why they were relocating them, but it was probably to thin out one herd that was too big in another area.

Here my dad is testing the radio frequencies with a hand held antennae and receiver on the sheep they just collared and let go up the hill. He was the Bio-telemetry coordinator for DFG at that time and built all the radio collars and taught other people how to use them in field studies.
